Do you ever wonder about the one that got away? Is there that special person out there that no matter where you are or what is happening you can't help but think of them. For Victor Rueben and Nicole Alessi this is life. After a short fling Victor and Nicole part ways after realizing that want more is not what either is looking for so when Nicole becomes engaged to another man shortly after parting ways with Victor, he questions the way things were left between them. 

 

 So when Nicole's father comes to Victor about representing her in her divorce he is tossed into chaos. Can he  resist the woman who drives him wild and makes him question his own morals and be the professional lawyer that he's worked so hard to become. Can these two manage to keep it professional or will the sweet temptation be too much? Especially both  sexual innuendos flying between both parties. 

 

  Claire writes in a way you can feel the emotions of her characters. The story is real and gritty and Victor and Nicole are so full of sexual tension that I'm surprised the pages didn't combust. It's a story of growing up and changing and learning to let go and go after what you what in life before time passes you by.

This is an emotional story from beginning to end. A breathtaking romance that's been in the making for years ever since Sass was a teen. Reed Shamrock is her brothers best friend and her friend as well but Sass has been crushing on him for over ten years. When Reed's  fiancé is caught in a compromising position with one of his friends Sass and her brother set out to help Reed move on. Problem is this brilliant plan may backfire and leave poor Sass with a broken heart. Can she pretend to date the man she's loved all these years and protect her heart or can this game turn into the real deal. I loved the depth of emotion these characters exhibited, they will steal your heart and have you rooting for their happiness. Friends forever and maybe something more if they can learn to trust each other and their own feelings. Beautifully written storyline kept me turning the pages and anxious to see what happened next. I look forward to reading more from this author as this was my first book written by her and I was very impressed.
